    Muhammad and his followers migrated from Mecca to Medina to avoid perscution for his religion. The people of Mecca did not approve the religion. This migration is callled the Hijra, and it is now celebrated annually as the first day of the Muslim calender.

    These "rules" are very important to the Muslim culture because these are the rules given to them by God, like the 10 commancdents of God in the Christian culture. It was makes the Muslim and it lets them live important Muslim lives.

    the strength of a dynasty that showed up in Egypt with great power ended slowly. Some of the people under the rule of the Fatimids declared independance of them and there were invaisions from other places. The crusades did a number on the dynasty, shrinking it drastically. Their poltical structure started to diminish, and in 1171 the dynasty finally fell.

    The Faitimids came into Egypt after the fall of the Ikhshdid dynasty and took control.When they invaded Egypt they were at their strongest point. They'd tried to invade before but they hadn't suceeded.They were very strong considering they had a massive army. When they captured Egypt, it moves from the eastern to westren caliphate.

    The end of the Abbasid Caliphate
    The entire dynasty lasted only 500 years before being wiped out by the Mongols as many other places. The dynasty had been long over before it finally was destroyed, they have no power for a very long time. Their empire was shaky, as most where during that era, and they couldn't keep it together.
