About 50 war ship arm themselves to defend the city of Tyre. Other defences are put in place as the Crusade is underway.

Fredrick I sets off on the 3rd Crusade and makes his way through the Byzantine empire but has to move fast and quick as a result of the Emperor signing a treaty with Saladin aginst all of the Crusaders.

Many Jews are slaughtered at the hands of the crusaders. Mass suicide occurs throughout York rather than convert to the other religons forced apon them.

Philip II "Augustus" joins in the Third Crusade.

Frederick Barbarossa saddly drowns and dies. Many experts say that had he lived the entire 3rd crusade would have turned out differantly and Saladin wouldn't have become such a powerful hero.

Richard and all of the men he lead get ready for the taking of Acre

Dispite Saladins attempt at defeating the 50,000 english/french troops outside of the Acre walls, Acre is taken over and Saladin's men are killed and flushed out of Acre.

Richard leads his men and the crusaders to take over Jeruselum but is turned back due to the lack of food and water on thier campain. This is because of Saladins tactics to deny them any food.

After a few years of fighting, many battles, deaths, and without a clear victor; Richard and Saladin come to a truce. This states that the Muslim ruler Saladin remains the ruler however unarmed christians are allowed in to the city.

On his voyage back home Richard the Lion-Hearted is taken hostige by Leopold of Austria. He wont be freed and return to England for four more years.

Saladin dies and his sons begin to fight over who will take control of the Empire. However, christins are still allowed to visit.
