    A riot occured during a hockey game because Maurice Richard was suspeneded, due to infereing the refere. This caused an outbreak among the Montreal Canadian fans and lead to fights outside. This began the quiet revolution as many felt that Maurice was suspended due his francophone culture.

    This party aimed to modernize Quebec as a province and make it more relatable to the rest of Canada. They also nationalized hydro-electricity. These policies changed the way Canada worked; they were a unified country. They also made bilingualism in Canada and got a flag.

    This was world fair in Montreal. It allowed the countries to come together and strengthen their relations. 50 million people came to this seven month long event. This strengtened the relationship between Canada and Quebec, as Montreal was representing Canada.

    This bill brought in by the Liberals, made french the official language of Quebec. This made the gap between Canadians and Quebequios larger because they couldn't communicate as readily with eachother. This was a "first step" to sepparating Quebec from Canada.

    Throughout the 1970's, there was a conflict between the government and teachers union. This changed the education system, as the schools were split up into smaller grade categories because so many people were dropping out. It was a privledge to make it past 6th grade.

    Prime Minister Trudeau tried again to get the constiution signed by Quebec. It finally happened in 1982 and Queen Elizabeth II attended this ceremony.

    Another attempt to bring Quebec into Canada's constitution. The Quebec reccomended a referendum on federal constitutional afairs. This failed with a 50/50 vote (Quebec to Canada).
