    Hijrah (Migration)

    Prophet Muhammad found it impossible to stay in Makkah, because they were oppressed and The Prophet was being plotted against. So they migrated to Madine, leaving behind all their belongings. The muslims went one by one, and Prophet Muhammad (saw) went last with Abu Bakr. One of the reasons why he went last was because he had to return the belongings of the Meccans who trusted him to keep them safe.

    Arrival in Medina

    The Prophet (saw) finally arrived in Medina and the people celebrated his arrival. Many people offered him a house, but he let his camel decide which would be guided by Allah. A mosque was also built. After this The Prophet created a brotherhood between the Ansar and the Muhajirs, assigning everyone a brother who he would treat as his own family. Finally, the muslims needed something to tell them it was the time for prayer, so Prophet Muhammad (saw) made Bilal do the adhan for the first time.

    Battle of Badr

    Abu Sufyan was returning with his caravan by Medina when Prophet Muhammad and the muslims planned to attack the caravan for two reasons. To get back their belongings and to send a message to the Quraysh. After Abu Jahl found out about the threat, he marched from Mecca with 1,000 men. Abu Sufyan escaped but Abu Jahl insisted on fighting to show his power. 314 muslims went against 1,000 disbelievers and the muslims won with help from Allah. They killed many of the leaders and imprisoned 70.

    Expulsio of Banu Qaynuqa

    After the muslims won the battle of badr, the Banu Qaynuqa tribe was causing trouble. They had signed the treaty which meant they wouldn't go against muslims and they would defend Medina. However they violated this when one day a muslim woman went to the shop and was uncovered by the jewish shopkeeper, then a muslim killed the jew and the other jews killed him. The Prophet then seiged the tribe for 15 days, until they surrendered. However he forgave them and expelled them from medina.

    Battle of Uhud

    The Quraysh wanted revenge for the defeat at Badr. Abu Sufyan managed to gather 3,000 men and marched to Madina. Scouts sent word to Prophet Muhammad and The Prophet rode out with 1,000 men to defend Medina. On their way, 300 of the Hypocrites led by Ibn Ubbay returned because they didn't want to fight. The Muslims were winning until a few muslims left their position, then Khalid Ibn Waleed took advantage to attack muslims from the rear. The surviving muslims took refuge in Mount Uhud.

    Expulsion of Banu Nadir

    The Prophet (saw) was at a gathering with the jews asking them to pay blood money for two men whom they had killed. However the jews took this oppurtunity to plot against him and kill him by throwing a rock. Jibril (as) informed the prophet about this plan and he escaped the place. Then Banu Nadir were seiged or 6 days before they were expelled from Medina just like Banu Qaynuqa. The Banu nadir tribe took all their belongings and destroyed their houses before leaving, just for showing off.

    Battle of The Trench

    A strong army of 10,000 was formed by Abu Sufyan, who allied with the Jews and some Desert tribes. Prophet Muhammad (saw) formed an army of 3,000 to defend the city. A companion's idea to build a trench in the undefended part of Medina was applied. The Muslims were seiged for a very long time by the enemy until The Prophet (saw) sent a new convert to cause dispute between the Quraysh and their allies inside Medina, Banu Quraydha. Then a strong hurricane led to the defeat of the enemies.

    Expulsion of Banu Qurayda.

    During the Battle of the Trench, the Qaynuqa tribe within Medina were persuaded by the Banu Nadir to betray the msulims, however they failed to dilever. This is because the muslims inside medina found out about their betrayal and told the prophet (saw). The Prophet then sent a new convert to create conflict between the jews and the quraysh, which weakened their plotting until eventually the quraysh were defeated. The muslims excecuted the men in banu quraydha and took the rest as captives.

    Conquest of Mecca

    One of the tribes allied with The Meccas broke their treaty by attacking one of the tribes allied with the Muslims. As the treaty was broken , Prophet Muhammad (saw) marched out wih an army of 10,000 men. The Muslims now had a really strong force. Once he reached Mecca, the Meccan leaders surrendered and thus Mecc was conquered without a single person dead. After all this fighting, Prophet Muhammad (saw) forgave them all, and many became Muslim. This Conquest established Islam in Arabia.
  • Treaty of Hudhaybia

    The Prophet (saw) had a dream of performing Umrah and he went with the 1,500 other muslims to fulfil this. The muslims camped at Hudaybia and Uthman was sent to convey the message in Mecca. Rumor spread that Uthman was dead, and this led to the muslims doing a pledge of allegiance to fight. The rumor was false, and then the Quraysh sent Suhayl to consult with the muslims. A treaty was made where the conditions were unfair for muslims, the muslims were disappointed but the prophet (saw) accepted.
