    Muhammad faces difficulties

    As the Prophet was sharing the verses of the Quran with his people, they were belittled, ridiculed, abused and persecuted. They were even physically harmed. In an attempt to thwart Muhammad, the Quraysh placed a ban, prohibiting anyone from trading with the Prophets followers. They even went as far as attempting to assassinate him. Soon after, Muhammads wife and uncle died.

    Building of Mosque

    Building of Mosque
    After the Prophet arrived at Medina, he began the construction of a mosque. The original building consisted of an open, raised building. The foundations consisted of mud and palm fronds. The mosque still stands today, and has undergone major expansion- it is called Al Masjib an Nabawi.

    Ties of Brotherhood
    When Muhammad (PBUH) arrived in Medina, he found tribes of vrying religions and beliefs among it's residents. Instead of exiling the non-Muslims and hypocrites, the Prophet created a Brotherhood- a strong relationship between the Muslims and non-Muslims. he did this by pairing up every non-Muslim, hypocrite and foreigner with a Muslim person.     Battle of Badr

    Battle of Badr
    Allah had helped you at Badr, when ye were a contemptible little force; then fear Allah; thus may ye show your gratitude. Remember thou saidst to the Faithful: Is it not enough for you that Allah should help you with three thousand angels (specially) sent down? “Yea”? if ye remain firm, and act aright, even if the enemy should rush here on you in hot haste, your Lord would help you with five thousand angels making a terrific onslaught.     Battle of the Trench
    The Muslims were betrayed by their allies (mostly Jews). Even though the enemy had 7,000 more troops than themselves, Muhhamad (PBUH) and the Muslims triumphed by using excellent millitary strategy. After the battle was over, Islam became much more respected and influential in Arabia, and, eventually, the world.

    Conquest of Mecca

    Muhammad and his people marched on Mecca and were joined by many tribes along the way. When they reached Mecca, the Meccans joined them peacefully.

    A treaty was forged between the Muslims and Meccans Due to the fact that this treaty seemed to favor the Meccans the Muslims were reluctant to agree to its terms but eventually followed the Prophet and did his bidding. However, within a year the Meccans violated the terms of the treaty, thus bringing the peaceful period of time to an end.
