    Founder of the sect of Ahmadiyya
    The founder of this sect was Mirza Ghulam Ahmad who was born in Qadian, India in 1835. He is the leader of this sect He had claimed to be the Mahdi. In Islam, the Mahdi is someone who comes to the Muslims towards the end of times. After his father passed away he started to believe God was trying to speak to him and put him in some kind of power. He believed he was put in a high position to "reinstate" Islam and try to correct the "misinformation" in the Muslim community.

    Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claims to be the Mujaddid of the fourteenth Islamic century with no publicity.
  • Beginning of Ahmadiyya

    Ahmadiyya is an Islamic sect that was founded in Qadian Punjab, India in 1889. This sect can also be shared with many other Sufi orders. In the sect of Ahmadiyya, they deny many main events that every Muslim believes in. Such as saying that Jesus did in fact die and was not raised to the heavens. They also deny that the Prophet Muhammad was the last prophet. This is why many believe that Ahmadis aren't even considered Muslims.
  • Announcement of being the Mahdi

    Mirza Ghulam Ahmad announces and claims to be 'The Promised Messiah' and 'The Imam Mahdi'. The claim to be the messiah which Muslims believe is to come towards the last days.

    Mirza Basheer-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad is elected as the Second Caliph.
  • Headquarters of Ahmadiyya

    The city of Rabwah is established as the new headquarters of the Community by Mirza Basheer-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad.

    Mirza Tahir Ahmad is elected as the Fourth Caliph
  • Headquarters moved

    Mirza Tahir Ahmad migrates to London, England which then moves the headquarters to London as well.

    Mirza Masroor Ahmad is elected as the Fifth Caliph
  • Ahmadiyya Spreads

    The sect of Ahmadiyya spreads further from just India with 10-20 million followers. Unto many other South Asian countries to West African countries and even European countries etc.
  • Heaquarters moved again- present

    The headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is moved from London to Islamabad in Tilford, Surrey.
