    When to Water?

Since last summer was very dry, I had to water my garden every day, morning and night. This year my prediction will be to water it daily but only once a day due to the amount of sun my garden will get at my new home. I will only water my garden until August because as the weather transitions to September, most of the vegetables will be present and there usually is more rain around this time of year- and the cooler weather mixed with too much water will harm the vegetables.

    Pick the Vegetables!

By July to September, typically there will be vegetables ready to be picked. I will check daily on the vegetables and will only pick when ready. Since each vegetable grows at different rates and plants with vines holding more than one vegetable also grows at different rates, I should be able to pick a vegetable almost daily once they start to ripen.
  • When to Build?

I will dig and use the rototiller to turn up the ground because it is clay and will need to loosen.
  • When to Create the Garden?

I will use wood and nail together a box without a bottom, as a perimeter to my new garden. I will also buy soil and add it in my garden and rake it through to help give the soil nutrients before planting.
  • When to Plant?

Since it typically depends on when the soil softens from winter, and the location of my new home, my prediction will be to plant my vegetables in the beginning of May. Since I have clay foundation, I will be using plants instead of seeds for the first year to see how they grow.
  • Fertilizer?

I will add plant nutrients after I have planted my vegetables to help them grow and adapt to the new soil.
