    Miguel Hidalgo was among one of the people that were targeted for arrest. A priest learned the plot of the plan that Hidalgo and his team was planning, he knew of this in a confessional. This situation caused Allende to flee from Queretaro to go inform Hidalgo.

    When Allende informed Hidalgo of this problem, Hidalgo had to make the most important and difficult decision because this was the first real problem in the Mexican Independance. That decision made the Spaniards to cause a lot of violence and deaths. That was something that Hidalgo did not think the Spaniards would do.

    On September 28, Hidalgo and his army arrived in the town of Guanajuato, there were Spanish people hiding in barricades, this shocked Hidalgo and his people. When this happened, there were among 30,000 rebels and the battles and violence had gotten more intense than ever.

    At the Battle of Monte de las Cruces, Hidalgo’s army were met with Spanish military resistance, they fought them and gained victory from them.

    Spanish forces fought the Battle of the Bridge of Calderon, in this battle they gained victory from the insurgent army, this made the rebels to escape to the US- Mexico border.
  • Hidalgo's execution

    Hidalgo's execution
    In this day, Hidalgo was executed. He had to undergo a trial and got examined by the Inquisition, he was found guilty and the Inquisition forced him to give up his priesthood. This eventually lead up to his death on July 31 1811.
  • Morelos Capture

    Morelos was captured by Spanish colonial authorities, this eventually lead up to his execution on November 1815.
  • Plan de Iguala

    The Plan de Iguala got established. Iturbide convinced his troops to accept the conditions of this plan, along with his army of troops, he got other people to join his army, among those people was Guerrero.
  • Mexico's Independance

    Mexico gained its independence in this September 1821. Mexico got up to a rocky start regarding its independence. Also, the president's birthday took place in this month, this was one of the most famous and biggest celebrations.
