    Migration to Madina

    During this time period from 1 to 8 After Hijrah the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was migrating from Mecca to Madina. He was migrating in fear so he was hiding away.

    Migration to Madina

    At this time the Quraysh was planning on attacking Makkah to ruin and destroy Islam. So the prophet (pbuh) and his followers along with Abu Bakr had to make a move as soon as possible. They decided to migrate to Madina since it was a safe place for them to be staying. They travelled around 300 kilometers and had a week break before arriving at their destination.

    Building of Al-Masjid An-Nabawi

    Building of Al-Masjid An-Nabawi
    This is when the prophet had gotten to Madina after his migration from Mecca. After his arrival he decided to build a mosque of his own with the help and support of his companions, which is known as Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. The location was chose because he built it next to his house. It was built as a rectangular open-air building surrounded by palm trees.

    Qibla Direction

    For the first year and a half after hijrah the qibla was pointed north western but Allah (swt) requested from Mohammad (pbuh) to change the direction so it would be pointed towards the Makkah (the kaba). It's said that this change was made because more attention was ordered to be given to the Arabs.

    Battle of Badr

    This was the first serious and intense battle between the muslims and the army of Quraysh. The battle started by Mohammad (pbuh) discovering that one of the richest trade vans were headed towards Makkah carrying the belongings of the muslims, being guided by Abu Sufyan (a member of Quraysh). The prophet then gathered a group of muslims to form a muslim army and headed towards Badr, where the Meccan army was on it's way to.     ...The 3 strongest warriors from each army having a battle of their own. After 2 of the Muslims fighting a successful battle against the Quraysh warriors, a few muslims were killed which caused them to fight more passionately. So the Muslims scared the Quraysh away and won the complete battle.

    This battle was the second serious battle but it was between the Muslims and the Meccans. It was started by the Meccans wanting to get back at the Muslims for being undefeated through their last battle. Mohammad (pbuh) lead a greater army of more men to mount Uhud where they were facing the Meccan army.     Battle of Uhud (Part 2)

    ...The Meccans. Surprisingly the Meccans were aware of this and fought back, killing a number of the Muslims and injuring the prophet Mohammad (pbuh). Instead of fighting back the Meccans left with their victory, leaving the Muslims defeated in this war.

    Following the battle of Uhud, this was another one of the serious fights of the Muslims against the Jews. Just like the battle of Uhud the Muslims had a great army but the Jews had almost doubled them in numbers. The fight took place around Madina and the Muslims dug up a trench around their campus to protect them, and from there they'd shoot their arrows.     Afterwards many Jews tried making it through the trench but didn't succeed. Mohammad (pbuh) confused the Jews with eachother which got them to leave, giving the Muslims the victory of this battle because it got the Jews to forfit.

    Towards the end of this month, Mohammad gathered 1000+ of the followers (Muslims) and headed towards Mecca to perfrom Umrah as a group. When they arrived, they were told that they weren't allowed to enter, so they camped near a well named Hudaybia (which is where the treaty got it's name from). The prophet sent a messenger to let Quraysh know that they were only there to perform Umrah once, but Quraysh didn't want that happening so Mohammad sent another messenger to let him no they weren't...
  • Treaty of Hudaybia (Part 2)

    ...To cause problems or start a war, which convinced Quraysh to let Mohammad in alone, but he didn't want to go in without the rest of his followers so they arrested him. Then they went to make an agreement/treaty with the Muslims which was unfair towards them but the Muslims agreed to it anyway.
