    Later in the 1300s yet another Mongol leader by the name of Timur the Lame, led his armies into the Middle East. He was able to take control of several Muslim and non Muslim lands. This is significant because Timur the Lame and his armies overran Persia and Mesopotamia, he also invaded Russia and India.

    After Muhammad's death Abu Bakr who wanted convert to Islam, was determined to continue the Prophet's work. He said " If you worship Muhammad, Muhammad is dead. If you worship God, God is alive." Arab didn't collapse because of the teachings of the Prophet. Abu Bakr was basically the new Muhammad.
