Also, it was one of the most successful, if not the most successful slave revolt in human history. The slaves in Haiti fought because they believed no one should be in slavery.

    This uprising is important because although he was unsuccessful, Miranda helped in the process of Spanish colonies gaining independence.
  • Rebellions against Spain

    These rebellions were significant because although the first few were unsuccessful, Simon Bolivar led the final, daring, rebellion to free Spanish colonies.
  • Revolt against Columbia

    This was important because the rebels won independence for Panama, and then the Panama canal was built.
  • Mexican Revolution

    The Mexican Revolution was important because it resulted in a new constitution, the Constitution of 1917. It stated many great reforms to Mexican society, and it gave Mexico a stable government.
  • Mexican war against Spain

    This was important because Mexico gained their independence. Two leaders, Hidalgo and Morelos tried and failed at winning Mexico their independence. However, with Spain having few supporters, it was forced to grant Mexico their independence.
