  • Sitting Bull

    Sitting Bull
After hearing so much about Sitting Bull from the people on the farm, I finally got to meet him a few months later. He wasn't what I expected him to be. He looked totally different then the way I imaganed him. He was a lot taller and darker looking. Sitting Bull is important because he was the Native American chief under the Sioux tribes united in their stuggle for survival on the North American Great Plains.
  • Steel Plow

    Steel Plow
Today is the day that I discovered the steel plow. The steel plow is a large farming tool with one or more blades fixed in a frame. It is used for cutting furrows in the soil and turning it over, especially to prepare for the planting of seeds. My discovery impacted my life by making it easier and faster to farm.

    South and Southeastern U.S
Today, Monday April 13,1875 marks the day that I made it to South and Southeastern U,S. This is a place I this I will be very successe with farming. I am now living in Texas and I absolutly love it. This is a place I can raise my family and still get money with buisness at the same time. I really think this move was good for me and my family. The people here are friendly and very welcoming.
  • Stone and Timber Act

    Stone and Timber Act
The stone and timber act was a act that let the United States sell Western timberland for $2.50 per acre. Lands that deemed "unfit for farming" was sold to those that might want to "timber and stone" upon the land. I disagree with the timber and stone act. When the logs would get stuck and just start to piled up thats when it became dangrous. To get the logs to start moving again several workers had to try and push the logs to get them to move, but they had to be smart about it too.
  • New Job

    New Job
Today is the day I take a big step into the world and get a new job. I am now a shop owner. I wasn't making that much money as a farmer so that is why I made one of the biggest decisions in my life to move on to better things. Hopefully me owning my own shop will bring in more money then being a farmer did.
