    Conspiracy at queretaro
    La Corregidora -doña Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez, Miguel Hidalgo, and Ignacio Allende meet at Queretaro for the to plan a revolution against the Spanish.
  • Grito de Dolores

    Grito de Dolores
    On Sept 16, 1810 Miguel Hidalgo gave the Grito of Dolores, as he and Allende had agreed on, to invite Mexicans in pursuance for an Independence.
  • Conspiracy found!

    When the conspiracy was discovered Josefa Ortiz sent a messenger, Ignacio Perez, to San Miguel in order to inform Allende of the events that occurred. Seeing then that Allende was not at his home, Ignacio went to Dolores to inform Hidalgo and Allende of recent events.

    In this day an angry mass of Mexican insurgents led by Hidalgo descended on the city of Guanajuato. When this happened The Pipila supposley broke into the Alhondiga, and the events of the Alhondiga massacre occured.

    Battle on Monte Cruces
    Miguel Hidalgo and the Insurgents won the battle of Monte de las Cruces against Callejo, letting them move closer to Mexico City.
  • Mexican Army first defeat

    On January 1811, Hidalgo and Allende fought at Guadalajara but their army scattered after a canon hit their camp scaring the Mexican army. from there Allende, Hidalgo and the other rebel leaders tried to make their way north to the US. They were betrayed, however, and captured. When this happened Allende and other leaders were executed rapidly, while Hidalgo was sent to a trial for committing an “inquisition”.
