    Augustus Caesar was teh first roman emperor. He went into war and came out succesful and formed a triumverate.Then went into war again against Mark Anthony. Then he came out as true emperor of Rome. He started a time of Roman peace called Pax Romana. He inproved infostructures and wanted to sell more than he bought.

    Rome was considered a very good place to settle. It was surrounded my water and mountains as if they were a barrier. Also, water was a good rout for trade. This helped with wealth.

    Marcus Aurelius
    Marcus Aurelius was considered the last of the 5 good emperors. He made everyone use the same currency, and was an active leader, he would go out and fight with his soldiers. He expanded the empire, also. He chose his son, Commodus, to be emperor after him. Marcus ruled until 161 C.E.

    Diocletien worked to stop the decline of rome. He divided rome into eastern and western halves and took the wealthy side. He named vice-emperors and doubled the military. When he died, civil wars broke out.

    Many believe that Constantine had won the battle of the milvian bridge because he saw a sign in the sky that were the first two letters of the greek word for "CHRIST" he ordered his army to paint it on their supplies. This is because the sign told him that he would win under this sign.

    Constantine ruled rome in 337CE. Civil wars broke out for control of rome. Encouraged to be Christian. Moved the catital to Bizzantium. Named it Constanopel.

    After struggling for a while, Rome had its final hit and it crashed. Germanic tribes killed it.

    Commodus was the end of Pax Romana. He spent all the money on parties and fun. He refused to defend borders well, and allowed people to help him rule. This resulted in confusion. Commodus sent people to kill the wealthy and he took their money. His family tried to kill him. When he died, after 12 years of ruling, civil wars break out and rome crumbles.

    Commodus was assasinated by the goverment. Before that, his sister tried to kill him, but to no avail.
