    Pax RomanaAfter Marc Atony's defeat the republic finally became a empire. Octavian's name was changed to Agustus Caesar he was now the first Roman Emperor. The next 200 years were peaceful and the empire was thriving, this period was called Pax Romana. The reason why Rome kept such peace and prosperity for such a long period of time is because of a structure gouverment lead by a strong leader. A strong military with many soldiers that had diligent border patrol. A healthy economy and lastly many laws.

    2nd Triumvirate Formed in Rome, 43 B.C
    The Civil Wars were coming to an end 3 main rulers were emerging. The rulers were Marc Atony, Octavian, Lepeadous. Lepeadous soon left to retire from ruling. Marc Atony suddenly started a romance with the Egyptian ruler Cleopatra partly for political gain. Octavian knew of their plan to join the Roman Republic with Egyptian Empire and rule together without Octavian. Octavian forms a power army and fought against Marc Atony and Cleopatra, Octavian won. Octavian had now become soul leader of rome.

    1st Triumvirate Formed in Rome, 60 B.C.
    The First Triumvirate was formed in the Roman Republic. Julius Caesar was apart of that Triumvirate. Julius Caesar wanted to become soul leader. Suddenly battles broke out and Caesar was the winner. Senators appointed him to be dictator of Rome. With no one to have a say Caesar ruled Rome with a Iron Fist. The senators of Rome were becoming scared by Caesars massive power and how he was expanding the Roman Republic. On March 15, 44 B.C Caesar was assassinated by senators stabbing him to death.

    Marcaus Aurelius was the last of the 5 great emperors. Aurelius was a very commanding military general. He was a warrior first, fighting on military lines with his army.He and his army fought of many invasions. He also united the Roman economy by making the currecy the same in all of the reigons of the empire. He also expanded the empire to Great Britan.Sadly Marcaus Aurealis mad a wrong decision by picking Commodus as his successor in a way he is what caused the empire to decline.

    Civil Wars were brewing after the leaving of Diocletian. Constantine was becoming a leader. Constantine wanted to become a soul leader of thr roman empire. Suddenly there was battle to become leader of Rome. On the eve of a important battle, Constantine sees a symbol in the sky which he believes is a sign of god telling him that he was going to win in tommorow's battle. That next day Constantine was victourious.

    Constantine was now ruler of the Roman Empire. He made a very important descion, he changed the capital from Rome in the West to Constantinople in the East. Suddenly the Eastern half which was apart of the Roman Empire changed to Byzantium Empire. Since the Western half was stuggling already this change from Rome becoming the main capital is lead to Romes Collapse. On the other hand the Eastern half was sustaining peace and a very strong economy. In 337 A.D. Constantine died.

    Fall of Rome In 476 . Rome was conquered. The romans were overthrew by the germanic trbes. These tribes were known as the barbarians. Although the Roman collapse seemed evident around 300 A.D. but in Pax Romana Rome seemed like it was invincible that it could not be stopped. The Collapse Rome teaches people today by proving that the descions that the ruler makes really impacts the future of that society.

    Commodus was not at all respected as emeperor for a plethera of reasons. One being is he spent a lot of Rome's money on entertainment such as gladiator battles and on palaces for himself. He wasn't spending money on helping the military or the economy. Suddenly Commodus saw that he neede money so he orderd the death of some wealthy citizens to gain their wealth . This act of Commodus proves how he was a unjust,corrupt,selvish leader.

    After multiple attempts to assisinate Commudus even a attempt made by his own sister, he was finally assisinated. Similar to Juilis Caesar's assasination he was killed by Senators. His assisination was a rejoice for many people but as always after a leader has fallen Civil Wars started to unfold in Rome. Would Rome be able to improve from mistakes made by Commudus.

    Diocletian was hoping to save the empire from being corrupt. His first step was to appoint a co-ruler his name was Maximinian. They both split the empire into two reigons East and West, Diocletian Ruled East Maximinian controlled West. Also there were vice emperors for each reigon this type of rule with 4 people was called a tetrearchy. The East was booming with trade from land and water but the West was still struggling. Sadly Diocletian gave up power in 305 B,C

    After the assasination of Commodus there was a long pattern of Corrupt, Selvish leaders much like Commmodus himself. Also like Commudus there was a lot of spending own entertainment rather than spending the military or economy. As a result the army was getting too small to protect such a vast empire. Also there was a lot mercinaries in the Rome and since money was decreasing Rome could not pay for them to work in their army so many soldiers were leaving.Rome was beginning to look hopeless.
