Also, the brutal slave masters treated the slaves poorly which resulted in the revolution.The Slaves were the ones who began the revolution. The leaders of the revolution were Toussaint L'Ouverture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines.

Also, Mexico's creoles feared the loss of property and privilege, so they united in the support of Mexico's independence.
