Spain ceded the western third of Hispaniola to france

They called its new colony St. Domique. half a million africans work on sugar, coffee, cotton, and indigo plantations. it was the most vauble colony. it had more sugar then all. slavery there was bad and many died from it.

Haiti revolution

Slaves on St.Domingue rise up in rebeillion.The slaves finally runover their masters and all the slaves system. they won independence from france and reconziged as independent black republic.

Mexico in 1810

Miguel Hidalgo from a small village took the first step toward independence. he believed in enlightenment ideals.

Simon Bolivar declared independence from Spain 1811

Simon Bolivar native Venezuela declared it's independence from spain. With the help of Jose De San Martin the spanish colonies in Latin America won their freedom.

Jose De San Martin

Aug 11, 1817

Jose De San Martin sent an army on a demanding march to the Andes to Chilie. He joined there by forces by Bernardo O' Higgins. since he helped San Martin he finally freed chile.

Mexico in 1820

A revolution put a group in power there and Mexico feared to loose their privileges in the spanish controlled colony. They gather up together to support mexico independence from Spain.

Brazil Royal Liberator

Creoles demanded Brazil's independence from Portugal. 8,000 brazilians signed a petition asking Dom Pedro to rule and he agreed to it.
