The contruction of Rome started in 753 BC. The myth is that twin brothers, Romulus and Remus, were abandoned as babies on the Tiber River where a female wolf found them. The wolf nursed them until they were found and then raised by shepards. As adults, the brothers wanted to build a city where the wolf had found them. During a dispute about where they should build their city, Romulus killed his brother and named their city after himself. This city was Rome.
