    The king was in trouble. The nobility was not happy with his attempt to tax their estate. Nobility wanted to pass the cost once again on the Third Estate

    Meeting between the estates to discuss reforms, although meeting hall was looked, they decided to hold it in a tennis court. The third estate then adopted an oath of alligance so they would stay together untill a constitution was written.

    This event was the beginning of the French Revolution. Parisans stole explosives from what was then the state prison. The mob also wanted to make a statement, they then went down the sttreet parading the goveners head on a stick.

    The National Assembly formed a new government causing the French monarchy to fall apart. They eliminated the privileges of those part of the nobility and the clergy. There was no longer what was known as the feudal system in the country .

    This document was adopted by the Natinal Assembly. It laid out the basic principles of the French Revolution. It stated that all men are born equal and equal before the law. Did not inculde women although.( It was inspired by the English Bill of Rights, the American Declaration of Independence, and the ideas of Enlightment philosophers )

    A mob advanced toward the palace to capture King Louis XVI. Although, word got back and the king escaped to the legiaslative assembly building.
