    • This battle was against Maxentius.
    • Constantine knew his army was outnumbered.
    • He saw a sign of god and that's when he became christian.
    • Constantine was defeating Maxentius' army.
    • Maxentius tried to escape swimming but his heavy armor drowned him.
    • To prove that Constantine was a fierce emperor he chopped off Maxentius' head and paraded it around the city.

    • Flavius Theodosius Augustus was born in Cauca, Spain in 347 CE.
    • He died very ill in 395 CE.
    • His father, Count Theodosius, was an excellent military leader who was executed when Theodosius was still young.

    • He ruled until his death.
    • Theodosius is remembered as "The Great"

    Velntinian is Murdured
    • Emperor Valentinian was murmured by his commander Arbogast.
    • Arbogast then raised Eugenius to power.
    • Theodosius defeated this ursurper in 394

    Emperor Justinian was born in 482 CE.
    He died in 565 CE at the age of 83 in Constatinople.
    He is considered the best emperor of the Byzantine Empire.
    He created many thing that are still used in the world today.

    Justinian´s Period of Rule

    • Justinian came to power in 527 CE as a co-emperor.
    • When emperor Justin died he became sole emperor.
    • Emperor Justinian created the hippodrome which was an event center for chariot racing, slave fighting, etc.
    • When the Nika riots started revolting, Justinian miascred them by locking all the riots in the hippotrome and killing them with some soilders.
    • To calm people down, Justinian created the Hagia Sophia. (Mosiac)
    • Justinian also created a code of laws which is now used in the USA.

    • Finally Irene killed her sin to become sole empress.
    • During her ruling period, Irene lowered taxes which satisfied people.
