    -Intended to ensure orthodoxy for the converts from Islam and Judism.
    -If the Islam and Judism peoples didn’t convert, they were forced to leave Spain.
    -Charles IV started to disband the Inquisition in fear of the French Revolution provoking.
    -Nearly 150,000 were killed or fled the country in trail during the Inquisition.

    -The marriage of Ferdinand II and Isabel I officially started the beginning of the Spanish empire in 1492.

    -It set sail out of A Coruna in 1588, under the command of Duke of Medina Sidonia.
    -The war goal for the Armada was the blockade England the hold a land invasion.
    -⅓ of the ships were destroyed by a bad storm off the coast of Ireland and Scotland.
    -Many paintings of the Armada in battle still are around today, giving a cultural feeling for piece of history.

    -The initial reconquest happened in 718, when a group of Christian resistance fought against the invading Moors.

    -The reconquest was unofficially done in 1340, but the Muslims still had little presence in Spain.
