  • Haitian Revolution

    Haiti in the 13th century was known as Saint Dominique it became Frances wealthiest overseas colony.It was most wealthy bc of the product of sugar, coffee,etc.The area of the colony held by the rebels grew as did the violence.Nonetheless the former slaves managed to stave off both the french forces and the British who arrived in 1793 to conquer the colony.I'Overture abolished slavery in the Spanish speaking colony.There were about 30,000 free black people in 1789,Haitian born movements emerged.
  • Latin American Wars of Independence South, San Martin

    Latin American Wars of Independence South, San Martin
    San martin defeated the Spanish in Chile in 1817. This was the first true victory against the Spanish by Latin Americans. He was involved in the liberation of Argentina from the Spanish empire& he was a master of military strategy led to his success. San martin planned to drive the remaining Spanish forces out of Lima. He then left his army for Bolivar to command. He returned to Latin America to be a part of its liberation from Spain. Spanish forces in nearby chile and Peru were still a threat.

    Greeks shared the power & prosperity,poor people had no investments. The Greeks in the Ottoman Empire was more complex than the Serbs. Greeks also benefited from reductions in the autonomy of the non-Greek churches. Greeks acquired political and economic power in the Romanian districts. Greek notables already exercised substantial local power. Some islands paid no taxes in cash instead contributing the labor of sailors. Greek trade in the Black sea grew without competition from the Venetians.

    It began the ripp effect& a movement in Latin AM. Miguel Hidalgo Y Costilla led a series of successful revolts killing Spaniards throughout Mexico.The Mexican Revolution took a decisive turn in favor of the Mexican rebels in 1821. The army of the Three Guarantees swept across mexico. The last major battle led to the signing of the Treaty of Cordoba declaring independence of the Mexican empire. After it ended the revolution had effectively ended after the rebels took firm control of Mexico City.

    Brazil was discovered by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Portugal had experienced the constitutional Revolution, which was initiated by the liberal constitutionalism. This revolution had led to the constituent assembly. General Jorge Avilez led the Portuguese military.These men had both been loyal to Dom pedro and the prince was left feeling helpless and embarrassed In 1821 the provincial governments of Brazil were put in political subordination to Portugal which left him with the governor.

    The Spanish American independence is incomprehensible without Bolivar. This liberator scorned liberalism, soldier who disparaged militarism. Bolivar was the servitude of Spanish Americans,their role as primary producers and consumers of Spanish goods. The wars of independence in north South America were fought by two armies. He had fought to impose unity on the revolution. He created the great state of Colombia, Venezuela, New Granada and Ecuador. He left peru for Colombia in September 1826.

    Romanticism can be seen as a rejection of calm, harmony, balance, idealization and rationally. It emphasized the individual. The attitude for Romanticism was an emotion over reason and the senses over intellect. Romanticism literature started in the 1790s. It brought attention to folk ballads and poetry, folk dance and music. It had spread almost all over Europe. There was different types of Romanticism such as music, visual arts, literature. Literature preceded in the mid 18th century. (Pre)

    Italian nationalists looked for leadership from the Kingdom. A combined french Sardinian army won two quick victories. In may 186o a small army of Italian nationalists rebels in southern italy. Garibaldi and his forces crossed to the italian main land and marched north.
  • Greek Unification

    Bismark had no interest in Germany but just in Prussia.The people were then ceased to be Prussians in order to become German. Franz Joseph proposed that a reform of the Germanic Confederation be discussed by the German Princes.There was two conflicts that had led to a formation of a north German confederation in 1867.The Prussian flag could have made a unwelcome feelings since of the colors and nobody would want to go to any other German states. Prussia was mostly aot of peoples main view.
