Pax Romana was a period of peace and prosperity other known as the "Roman Peace". The Pax Romana lasted for almost a hundred years. Cities were important in the spread of Roman culture, Roman law, and the latin language. Latin was the language of the western part of the empire, whereas Greek was used in the East. Roman culture spread through all parts of the empire and mixed freeley with Greek culture.
