    First bad emperor, of many to come. Son of Marcus Aurelius who was the last good emperor. Commodus was crazy; he went around with a club saying Hercules clubbing people to death. He devalued the Roman currency,by reducing the amount of silver purity to 74%. he was eventually asassinated by his own body-guards.

    Eastern and Western Rome
    Emperor Diocetian divided Rome iinto two seperate areas, Eastern and Western Rome Diocletian ruled over the Eastern part of rome (which was also the wealthier side) and a new emporer Maximian rule over the Western portion eventually the split will allow other neighboring ares like Turkey and the Huns will over take the poor western side and all the roman soldiers are in the Eastern side which makes the Western area fall to several countries very quickly.
