King Louis XVI and an Assembly of people came together to represent the three estates. Robespierre was apart of this meeting, representing the Third Estate.

The Jacobins club, radical political organization took off. Anyone who questions the government ever so slightly would be executed immediately. Robespierre was one of the Jacobin leaders and took part in these actions.

Robespierre was set out to build a "republic of virtue," and wipes out every trace of France's old regime. He changes the calendar and gets rid of Sundays because religion was considered dangerous and bad.

The Committee of Public Safety lead by Robespierre protects the revolution by getting rid of any enemies. Thousands of people in France were executed in France from the lower classes. Robespierre ruled as a dictator and used terror to keep the citizens believing in the ideas of the Revolution. This was a period in time the Robespierre was known for.

Robespierre created and became the leader of the Committee of Public Safety. The purpose of the committee was to protect the plan and idea of the revolution from said "enemies." Many of these enemies were just regular innocent citizens of France who would be executed for speaking badly about the Revolution. Robespierre's idea was to mix terror and virtue to lead the Revolution. People of France began to ear for their safety.

Enemies of the Revolution and Robespierre were considered to be any Radicals against the Revolutions and Robespierre's ideals. These people were punished by death just because they weren't as "radical' as Robespierre.
