    The Patricians create a republic

    Patricians rebelled against the Eteuscan power and made Rome a republic where elected leaders made decisions to benefit people.
  • 494 BCE

    The Plebeians rebel

    Most of Rome’s population were Plebeians and they were angry about how they were treated and the lack of power, so they marched out of Rome and refused to come back until the Patricians met their demands
  • 451 BCE

    The Plebaians gain political equality

    The plebeians agreed to come back to Rome becuase the laws were written down in tablets called the Twelve tables.
  • 287 BCE

    Plebeians gain political equality

    The plebeians gain the right to pass laws to all Roman citizens.
