Italian Unification
Italy was broken down into major groups. The movement of this case was to unite it as a whole country.Giuseppe Garibaldi had tried to make Italy as a whole but failed to that. soon Camillo di Cavour united Italy under the crown of Sardinia.In 1558 Cavour made an alliance with France. In 1859 Tuscany, Parma, Modena, and Romagna voted in favor of unification with Sardinia.Garibaldi had came along and had liberated Sicily and Naples, which together made up the Kingdom of the Two group. -

After this Cavour organized plebiscites, or popular votes, to annex Naples to Sardinia. In 1861, Italy was declared a united nation-state under the Sardinian king Victor Immanuel II. -
