    The American Congress ratifies the Declaration of Independence. This however came to be after series of debates and adjustments to please all who were involved and prevent another rule like the British.
  • Battle of Saratoga Victory

    The victory in New York state is accomplished when the Americans capture the English soldiers. This victory would give the Frecnh the confidence to allign themselves with the colonists, a critical event that would help guarantee the defeat of the British
  • Treaty of Paris

    The signing of the Treay of Paris officially marks the end of the Revolutionary War. England acknowledges the United States of America as a free and independent country. The territory boudaries are established around the Great Lakes area.
  • French Revolution Begins

    As result of an unhappy lower class resulting from social discrimination and being left to starve, resulted from unfavorable weather, this revolution began as fight against unfair taxiation of the poor.

    The beginning of the slave revolt in Haiti, stemming from a oppressive social structure and hope from the slaves freed during the French Revolution

    Reign of Terror

    During the French Revolution, the revolutionaries were split into two groups: the Jacobins (radicals who wanted a republic ) and Girondins (conservatives wanting to retain the monarchy). The Girondins were in power until the Jacobins, lead by Maximilien Robespierre, took over and these radicals started the era of the guillotine, beheading thousands of opposers.

    The last of the French leaving Haiti marked the unofficial surrender of the French. The Haitians managed to successful revolt against European colonalization.

    Argentine War of Independence

    Argentine was place that somewhat declared independence. They only wanted to rule themselves until Charles IV or his son Ferdinand were back in the Spanish throne. The spark was the trading restrictions immposed on them, but even after independence, there was still internal conflicts.

    Venezuelan Reovlution

    These were a series of wars that Venezuela fought in order to liberate themesles from the Spanish Empire. They would establish and lost a republic twice, before Bolivar managed to achieve independence.
  • Pedro becomes emperor of Brazil.

    Pedro would become the ruler of Brazil when his father returns to Portugal to deal with the LIberal Revolution. He then would have to choose between Brazil and Portugal when Portugal threatened remove their political automony.He choose to side with the Brazilians and liberated them from Portugal's reign.
