White masters beating African slaves in Haiti. The French revolution in Eurpe inspired the slaves to fight back againts their masters. The slaves were apart of the Encomienda at this time. The leaders of this revolution were enslaved Africans. -

The Haitan revolution fought agains france. The revolution was succesful because Toussaint had taken control of the island and freed all the slaves. John Jaque Desaline took up the fight for freedom. The revolution staterd by young creoles traveling to Europe for education. When they read and adopted Enlightenment ideas, they retured to Latin America and brough back ides for a revolution. From the encomienda system the creoles were the ones that led this revolution. The individual leaders of this revolutin were Simon Bolivar, and Jose de san Martin. -

The Mexians fought againts Spain in the Mexican revolution. The revolution was not succesful because Mexico's creoles feared the loss of their privileges in the Spanish-controlled colony. -

The South Americans fought against Spain in their revolution. The revolution was succesful because at the last major battle for independence the spanish colonies in Latin America won their freedom. Then, other spanish countries such as Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, and Edcuador united into one country called El Gran Colombia.
