We choose our grade 12 courses in mid february, it will give me an idea to make a list of courses that I need/want to take. -

Attain and submit to guidance all 40 community hours
It’s better to hand in my 40 community service hours early, so I don’t need to worry before graduating and rushing things. -
Create/polish a professional resume and cover letter to submit to potential schools and employers
It’ll give me time to make a resume and cover letter -
Apply for post secondary education or workplace acceptance
It’ll give me an idea which post secondary school I want to apply before it’s due in mid January or February -
Talk to people around you to learn something about their experiences after high school
Get some ideas and information. So I don’t need to worry about next year. -
Investigate the programs and/or training needed for the job opportunities after high school
It’ll give me an idea, to investigate the program if it’s suited for me (the earlier the better in case i change my mind and want to do a different program). -
Ask 1 or 2 people to provide you a reference for any job or post-secondary applications.
It’s better to ask early not needing to worry, in case I forget to ask for a reference. -
Complete my credit counselling snapshot to see how many and which types of credits I have already earned and still need to earn
By checking my credits early in Gr. 11, I can see if I am on track to earn my OSSD and see my guidance counsellor if I am not. -
Talk to people around you to learn something about their experiences after high school
