    The Byzantine Empire had reached its height during the Justinaian's reign. The height was reached in the year of 565 A.D. The empire had reached its height in the 4th century.

    In 693 A.D. there was the first Arab attack on the Constantinople. The muslims were well prepared but the Constantinople army was not. The attack on the Comstantinople was on and off for about seven years.

    Emperor Leo lll bans the use of Icons

    In 726 A.D. Emperor Leo lll had banned the use of icons. Icons were only used so that people would stay more focused on prayer. Emperor Leo lll thought with the icons still around the people would begin to worship them instead of worshiping God.

    Prince lqor attacks the Constantinople

    In 941 A.D. Prine Iqor attacks the Constaninople. He later tries to attack the Byantine Capital but failed at his attempt. The Byzantine Empire was greatful that he had failed.

    In 1075 A.D the Byzantine Empire lost Syria to the Muslims. This battle had lasyed for 6 days and occured in the 7th century. This was a great victory for the Muslims but a terrible lose for the Byzantine Empire.

    In 1087 A.D the Byzantines defeated the Russian fleet in Thrace. The Byzantine was non stop until they conquered what they had too. When they defected the Russian fleet they were very proud of themselves.

    In 1204 A.D the Crudsanders decided to attack the Constantinople. The Crudsanders also attacked and destroyed the Greek Orthodox Constantinople. This attack was one of the most remarkable battles in the midieval times.
