Leif Ericson's voyage to North America
After converting to Christianity at the command of his king, Lief Ericson returned to Greenland to search for the land that had been seen by Bjarni. He set out in 1002 and supposidly landed in Newfoundland. However others have suggested that he instead landed in the Waquoit bay area of Massachusetts. -

Black Death peak
The Black Death was a horrifying desease that spread all throughout Europe. The deadly bacteria could kill within a 24-hour period and had a 50% mortality rate. Viking Invasions
The Viking age began when Vikings razed the abbey at Lindisfarne. Monks were killed, drowned or enslaved. Invasions of these typed continues until the 11th century. Attacks like this were possible due to the Viking's excellent seamanship and their boats that could travel in three-foot deep water, allowing vikings to sail far inland. -
