    This is when the first battle of the indians against the spaniards happened. Many spanish and criollos were killed in this war. Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla and his people captured the Alhóndiga de Granaditas. Juan José de los Reyes Martínez Amaro known as the leader and hero in Guanajuato, burned down the main door so that the indians could enter and the rebels won their first victory.

    Both Miguel Hidalgo and Ignacio Allende’s troops fought the Battle of Monte de las Cruces and ended up winning at the end. Both criollos and indians wanted independence now.
  • Battle of Calderon Bridge

    Battle of Calderon Bridge
    Miguel Hidalgo, Ignacio Allende, Mariano Abasolo, and Juan Aldama fought with their troops in the Battle of Calderón Bridge. This was Miguel Hidalgo's last battle before he was killed by the Spanish. The Spanish defeated the insurgent army.
  • New Leader

    On July 30, the prisoners who included Allende, Aldama, and Jimenez were taken to Chihuahua. Miguel Hidalgo was killed after he was taken by the Spanish and it was used as a warning for the rebels. Jose Maria Morelos became the new leader of the Mexican Independance. They were lacking hope and power, but no one was giving up yet.
  • Battle of Temalaca

    Battle of Temalaca
    It is when the Battle of Temalaca that took place in Temalaca, Puebla happened and it was a battle lead by the new leader Jose Maria Morelos. In the end of the battle, the leader was taken and later killed by the Spanish. This shows how much they needed hope and how the rebels were still not giving up. Jose Maria Morelos only lasted 4 years as a leader before they killed him.

    Ejercito de las Tres Garantias
    The Ejército de las Tres Garantías was created by Agustin de Iturbide and Guerrero’s troops and it became very successful. It is clear this is part of the consummation because they were now being a lot more resourceful and they very becoming more skilled than before.

    Guadalupe Victoria, Agustin de Iturbide, and Vicente Guerrero marched to the capital. The army troop led by Agustin Iturbide known as the Ejercito de las Tres Garantías entered México City, they were reaching their independance. Along this year, Iturbide became Emperor Agustin I of Mexico. They fought for 11 years to declare their independence and until the end they had consummation.
