  • Bourbon reforms were established

    To have better control of their colonies, the bourbon reform were established. Things that changed were that there were more taxes to the colonists, trade was limited, and they could only trade with Spanish ports, took away power from the creoles, and gave it to the peninsulares and the militar men, and they expelled and limited the power of the church.

    A series of conspiracies with Ignacio Allende, Juan aldama, and Josefa Ortiz, Miguel Hidalgo start, deciding to spread the word to overthrow New Spain's government.

    Javier Mina was a liberal Spaniard who arrived to Mexico with 300 men willing to fight with the rebels. He is then executed, because he bretrayed his homeland.
  • Liberal constitution accepted

    Spanish King Ferdinand the 7th accepts liberal constitution, which by doing so, many privileges were taken away from the Spaniards who lived in the colonies. This caused many discontent, and all social classes unite to fight for their liberty.
  • Independence is won

    The independence is won when Agustin de Iturbide and Vicente Guerrero seal a pact with the embrace of Acatempan.
