    The way the Haiti revolution started was when Latin america heard of the American revolution.In Saint Domingue was a french colony that had over 500,00 slaves working in plantation.The french people didn't treat the the slaves right so the slaves rebelled against the french masters in august 1791. They were led by Toussaint L'Ouverture who was a former slave.

    The slaves rose up against the french with Toussaint leading them.The fighting stopped when french troops landed in saint Domingue and Toussaint agreed to stop the revolution if french ended slavery. Unfortunately, the french accused toussaint of plotting another uprising and he eventually died in jail.HIs lieutenant Jean-Jacques fought for there freedom and won independence from the french in january 1804.This revolution was successful since they were the first black colony to gain freedom.

    Higaldo was defeated as well as his successor Jose Maria Morelos who was defeated by Agustin de Iturbide.In 1820 spain put a liberal group in power because of a revolution that broke out in Spain.Mexican creoles were scared that they would lose there privileges in the colony so they united to support mexico's independence. Agustin proclaimed mexicos independence in 1821 which made the revolution a success since the people that were against the revolution ended up in some way supporting it .

    The Brazilian revolution began on September 9, 1822 and was led by creoles and Dom pedro .The Napoleon invaded Portugal and the king and royals escaped to Brazil.After Napoleon's defeat the king and his royals left to Portugal and left Dom Pedro their son in Brazil.In 1822 the more than 8,000 creoles signed a petition so that Dom Pedro can become their ruler and declare independence from Portugal,and he did.The revolution was a success since no violence was used to gain independence.

    Simon and Jose both fought against the Spanish and won both of their countries along with others independence.The revolution ended when both generals united in order to take out the Spanish for good out of Lima,Peru.They united there army and Simon lead the victory over the Spanish at the battle of Ayacucho on December 9,1824.On that day they declared independence from the Spanish.The revolution was a success as they removed the Spanish from multiple countries and helped them gain independence.
