    They discovered that some supporters of the movement were storing weapons in their homes. Josefa Dominguez, also known as la corregidora, let out the news that some royal officials were arresting people who were involved in the movement. The uprising was prematurely launched.

    “Grito de Dolores” which marks the beginning of the Mexican war of Independence. Miguel Hidalgo does el “grito”. Him and several criollos were involved in the planned revolt against the Spanish colonial government.

    Siege of Guanajuato: Hidalgo, Allende and their army got to Guanajuato, where spanish barricaded themselves. Many were killed or injured.

    This battle was fought between the Hidalgo and Allendes army against the spanish royal troops of general Torcuato Trujillo as sierra de las Cruces.
