    The Iberians

    The Iberians was a population of farmers ,that lived in england during the bronze and iron age. they had built the Stonehenge.

    The Celts

    The Celts was a group of people that arrived from Germany.
    The Celts nowdays have affected the Welsh language.

    Romans

    The romans first conquered britain with Julius Caesar, but they couldn't invade scotland
  • Period: 476 to 1066

    The anglo-saxons

    they were tribes arrived after the end of the roman empire. Later the Viking arrived from northen europe and invaded the est coast.

    Normans

    in the 1066 William duke of Normandy claimed the throne of england, introducing the feudalism.
    From 1154 to 1485 the Plantagenet’s ruled england and a great part of europe.

    War of the Roses

    The War of the Roses, was a struggle between the house of lancaster, and the house of york.
    In 1485, Henry Tudor(a lancastrian) became king of England.

    The most important Tudors monarchs were Elizabeth I, Enry VIII, which had one doughter (Mary).
    She was called Bloody Mary becouse of her faild and violent attempt to restore the catholic church.

    the first Stuart sovereign was James I. A group of people tried to kill him by putting gunpowder under the parliament, but a person called Guy Fawkes was cought and burned alive revealing the truth.

    The Queen Victoria and her husband Albert, introduced the christmas tree culture. In this period was organized the Great Exhibition in 1851, and there were many advances
    in science.

    in this period we had the Britain's longest-serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, (1926 –2022). Nowdays we have her eldest son king Charles.
