    -Brazil was a self govern country even though it was controlled by portugal.
    -Brazil earned its freedom. Since it was a larger country this gave a boost to the rest of Latin America.

    Gaining support from Haiti, Bolívar returned to his continent and became involved in military battles, eventually able to claim several territories and then creation of the Gran Colombia.
