  • 1850 BCE

    Italian Unification

    Also known as Risorgimento. It was the political and social movement that consolidated different states of the Italian peninsula into the nation of Italy. World War II Italy had became a Republic. In 1855, as prime minister of Sardinia, he had involved the kingdom of British and the French side of the Crimean War, using the peace conference to give international publicity of the cause of Italian unification.
  • 1800 BCE

    Romanticism

    The Enlightenment idea of reason gradually gave way to another major movement in art and ideas. It reflected deep interest both nature and in the feelings of the person. The Romanticism rejected the rigidly ordered world of the middle class.
  • Haitian Revolution

    It was the first successful slave rebellion in the western hemisphere and had established Haitian as a free black republic. The Haitian people ultimately won independence from France and thereby became the first country to be founded by former slaves. The signal to begin the revolt was given by duty bookman a leader of slaves.
  • Mexican War of Independence

    Is an armed conflict between the people of Mexico and the Spanish colonial authorities which started in September 17 1810. It became known as the Mexican war of independence, which was led by the Mexicans-born Spaniards.
  • Latin American Wars of Independence (South, San Martin)

    San Martin was known as (The Liberator in Argentina). Peru fought their wars of independence under their influential military leader. Jose de san martin defeated the Spanish in Chile in 1817. To take the Spanish force out they had to met with Bolivar and give him his army and then Bolivar freed Peru.
  • Latin American Wars of Independence (North, Simon Bolivar)

    Simon was born into a wealthy family. taking the advantage of the disorder in Spain promoted by the peninsular war. He volunteer army of revolutionaries suffered numerous defeats. Bolivar is along with argentine general José de san martin considered one of the great Hispanic independence movements of the early 19th century.
  • Greek Revolution

    Was known as Greece and controlled by Turks. The bishop Germanos of Patras raised the Greek flat at monastery of Gaia Lavra Peloponnese and more revolution started against the Turks. Was a successful war of independence waged by the Greek revolutionaries between 1821-1823 against the ottoman empire.
  • Brazilian Independence

    Formal recognition came with a treaty signed by both Brazil and Portugal in late 1825. Prince Dom Pedro declared Brazil's independence from Portugal.
  • German Unification

    The unification of Germany into a politically and administratively integrated nation state officially occurred in the hall of mirrors at the palace of Versailles in France. The king had been crowned the German emperor. About 40,00 died during the siege.
