    He chooses a teacher he met once in the park, Faber.
  • The men meet,

    Montag brings his Bible and Faber explains that books are disposable, but the knowledge they contain is not.
  • The men plot to destroy the system.

  • At home, Montag has to deal with his wife and her friends.

    He blows up and reads them some poetry, and all leave upset.
  • An alarm is sounded for Montag's house.

    Beatty taunts him with literature, then they drive over.
  • Montag burns his own house, then Beatty for revenge.

  • He "fights" with the Mechanical Hound, and walks away an injured winner.

  • Montag runs to Faber's house.

    Faber aids him in an escape to a nearby river. After floating down it for some time, he meets "book people" with a campfire.
  • A nuclear war is started in the city,

  • Montag prepares to recreate his life.
