During this time, Spain lost Gibraltar and also Mallorca. There was another try for peace before but king Louis XIV denied it because he considered it offensive.

    It is a treaty of political theory written by Charles de Secondat, Baron of Montesquieu. In this treaty, he talks openly about the English political sistem and the constitutional monarchy and how it helps to end despotism.     The steam engine was a pretty important factor in the Industrial Revolution. Actually, Watt was not the only person that created the steam engine, but Matthew Boulton also helped Watt to create it. As it is said before, it was an important factor for the Industrial Revolution because it made easy the workers job. It was used in textile factories and railways. It also gave job to the workers of mining industry.

It was the first that separate the powers for making it more fair. Since its publicaction, it has been reformed 27 times. It is separated in 3 types od powers as all the constituions nowadays: executive power, judicial power and legislative power.

    The storming to the Bastille was made by the people of Paris who took to the streets because they got mad after the king of France in that moment refused to allow de individual vote. The National Assembly named them National Constituent Assembly and wrote a constitution for France. They also ended the Ancien Régime.

The royal family tried to escape from France dressed up like aristrocrats, somebody recognised them and hey got arrested by French officials so French people got more angry with royal family and wanted to established a republic. As people who liked monarchy and people who wanted a republic didn´t trust each other, they decided to execute the king.

    It was on eof the most important things of French Revolution. Louis XVI was executed in the Revolution Square. France had condemned Louis XVI to guillotine. Before his execution, he went to the church and confessed his last wills. for not lettoing king supporters say loud good things to him, there were people playing drums behind his carriage. They kept playing it even during his last words before being killed.

    Battle of Waterloo

    It was a fight in a city near to the current Belgium between French Army, led by Napoleon and British Army, led by Wellington. This fight began when Napoleon came back of his exile and wanted to invade the Netherlands. The coalition between Prusia, Austria, Russia and Great Britain was being established in the Netherlands so Napoleon tried to invade them to stop the coalition. This meant the end of the napoleonic wars because after being defeated he was exiled and he died.

    Stockton and Darlington Railway was opened

    It was the first public passenger railway in th world and was pulled by one of the first steam locomotives. As it was a new thing, almost 40,000 wanted to witness it. Its first line connected Shildon with Darlington. As they transported coal, they fastly had many benefits so they built a new line to Middlesbrough.

    Samuel Morse invented the telegraph

    It is a representation system of letters and numbers through signs emited in an intermittent way. The two people who invented it were Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail. In the beginning, it was used by cable runs that were installed. They were used for radio transmissions at sea and in the air.
