Constantine I Major Acomplishments

-Ruled from 306 to 337
- He was the first Cristiana emperor born February 27, 272 CE and died in May 22, 337 CE
- Constantine meets Maxentius in the Milvian Bridge and when he defeats him he cuts his head off and parades it to the city.
- The edict of Milan was a ruling that any religion is accepted.

Theodosius I Major Acomplishments

-Ruled from 379 to 395
- Born in 347 and died in 395
- He was a key emperor in the Byzantine Empire
- In one of the civil wars the empire had he deafeated Magnus Maximus
- There was a plague in 540. It was a disease that affected Eastern Byzantine Empire but especially the capital of Constantinople

Justinian I

Period: 527 to 565

Justinian I Major Acomplishments

Ruled from 527 to 565
Born in 483 and died in 565
He created a set of laws called the Justinian code
The Nika Riots started to protest because Justinian was raising taxes.
To deal with the Nika Riots he sent then to the hippodrome to make a deal but instead he killed them.
He biult the Hagia Sofia six weeks after so people will think nothing terrible happened.

Heraclius I

Ruled from 610 to 641
Born in c.575 and died in 641. -Introduced Greek as the official language of the Byzantine Empire.
Took over a government that was falling apart because of the previous emperor Phocas.
Provided land grants not only for frontier soldiers but for peasants too.
