    he was the King of Spain during the beggining of the 18th century. He reigned over the Spanish Kingdom in 1808 and again from 1813 to his death in 1833. He was known to his supporters as el Deseado (the Desired) and to his detractors as el Rey Felón (the Felon King).

    The First Carlist War was a civil war in Spain from 1833 to 1840, the first of three Carlist Wars. It was fought between two factions over the succession to the throne and the nature of the Spanish.
    Carlos de Borbón (Carlos V), became known as Carlists (carlistas).
    It is considered by some authors the largest and most deadly civil war of the period.

    The Provisional Government (1868–1871) was a provisional government formed in Spain between the overthrow of Queen Isabella II of Spain on 30 September 1868 after the Glorious Revolution, and the inauguration of the new King Amadeo I of Spain before the Cortes on 2 January 1871.
    It was the first phase of a 6-year period, known as the Sexenio Democrático (1868–1874).

    Amadeo, was an Italian prince who reigned as King of Spain from 1870 to 1873. The first and only King of Spain from the House of Savoy, he was the second son of King Vittorio Emanuele II of Italy and was known for most of his life as the Duke of Aosta, the usual title for a Savoy second son.
