Jubilee was the Canadian armys first action europe. a raid on the small french port of Dieppe, designed to test the allies ability to attack from the water. 900 canadian soldires killed and many more injured and taken prisoner. dipite this it provided the allies with valuble lessons for future assaults. -

the allied invaded sicily. they attcked by air and sea, the battle was won by the allies on august 17th and sicily was in allie control. -
D-day
British and Canadian armies take juno beach and gold beach. while there was little resistance at juno beach, they did lose 30 percent of their landing crafts before taking the beach. and by midnight on D-day not all objectives are captured but progress was made. -
oporation goodwood
the british and canadians launched opporation goodwood against Caen. the goal is to take Caen and then Falaise after that. by july 20th the brithish and Canadians had succeded in taking Caen but were unable to take Falaise. -
