    Battle of Atlantic
    The battle of Atlantic was in water. Canada's role was really important because they provided the Navy. During this battle, at stake was Great Britain. The RCN and merchant marine played a leading role in this battle and lead us to victory. This was between the Germans and the Allies. Canada also had the role of protecting supply convoys from Canada to Russia. This was important because the German's kept on attacking the supplies.

    Battle of Netherlands
    Canada's role in this war was to free the people of Netherlands from the Germans. There were several air attacks in eastern Netherlands and therefore, the RCAF was involved. By 1945, the Canadian army joined the allies to give a final push to help with the liberty of the Netherlands. Canada played a huge role in the battle of Netherlands because they provide food supplies for the citizens of Netherlands who were starved.

    The Canadian troops arrived in the United Kingdom to complete the British Expeditionary Forces, Canada's role was to evacuate the British Army from the channels and ports. They played a key role in defending some of the British Isles. The allies came here to liberate people from Hitler's invasion. Canada's goal was to clear the coastal area of Calais; they captured the launching site that Germans were located.

    The Canadian role in the Battle of Britain was very important because they were part of the allies. Their job was to help avoid disaster. The Canadian divisions were given the task to multiply their army to benefit from a possible German attacks. The RCAF was needed because the whole battle the not fought on the ground but in the air, most of the pilots were British but much of the Canadian pilots were required. This took place in England. Canada produced supplies like hurricane fighters.

    Canada's role in the Battle of Hong Kong was to strengthen Hong Kong's coastal defenses and to beef up guard duty. Canada was also need for reinforcements and around 2 battalions were sent to Hong Kong. The Winnipeg Grenadiers and the Royal Rifles of Canada also came. Canada also had the role of fighting along with the Indians and the U.S. Many Canadians were held as Prisoners of War and this caused many casualties. The Canadians weren't well equipped and later on surrendered.

    This battle was hand-to-hand combat. It took place in Mont Royal and it was between Canada and Germany. It was scheduled but cancelled until August 19 1942. The RAF and the RCAF were also involved as bombs were thrown to intimidate their opponent. The Canadians were the major attacking force. The allies planned this to be a raid.It ended very poorly, Many Canadians were also taken prisoner. The biggest role of Canada was to fight on the front of Juno Beach but the German's were already prepared.

    Canada's military played a key role in this battle because they fought many battles along with their allies to try to defeat the Germans from taking over. Canada's role was to help capture Sicily so the Germans would surrender. Canada was also sent to England to prepare for combat. Canada's role was to force Germany to a southern front. Canada played a key role in breaking Hitler's "Fortress Europe" in 1943 and 1944.

    One of Canada's major roles in this battles was to take one of the five designated where the allies were supposed to land and to start beginning to free Europe from Nazi Germany. The RCN played a role in supplying ships for the soldiers. The allies needed to attack key enemy targets. The RCAF bombed enemy territory. Canada was in charge of the centre of "Juno". The Canadian Parachute Battalion helped cut the bridges. Canada planned this battle. It was the beginning of the end for Nazi Germany.
