    United Irish Uprising
    The United Irish Uprising was the first battle of the 1800s. It all started when the people of St.Johns heard rumors that 400 Irishmen had taken a secret pledge of the Society of the United Irishmen. They had a made a plan to kill their officers, and the British residents of St.Johns on Sunday, April 15 1800.

    The War of 1812 was a military conflict, it lasted for about two-and-a-half years. This war included the countries of United States of America, United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada.In particular, the American leaders invaded Lower and Upper Canada.Moreover, France and Britan had wars/battles constantley through the 1700s.These conflicts had directly affected the American trade.Therefore, the Americans and the Britan had gotten into a disagreement and it had ended up affecting two other countries.
  • Battle of Queenston Heights

    Battle of Queenston Heights
    The Battle of Queenston Heights was the first foremost battle in the War of 1812. Back in the 1800s, Ontario was referred as Queenston. The country that resulted in victory was the British. Moreover, one of the major-general's Sir Issac Brock was assigned to Upper and Lower Canada. He was very responsible and he deffended both Upper and Lower Canada. Sadly, it all ended when Issac was struck in the chest by a musketball less than fifty yards away.

    The Battle of Crysler's Farm was a British and Canadian victory over the Americans. They fought near the St.Lawrence RIver in muddy fields. This was one of the most significant events in Upper Canada history because it marked the end of the most serious attempt to that time to invade Canada.

    Battle of Lundy's Lane occured when Major General Jack Brown of United States of America attacked Upper Canada. More than 3500, of his army came north along the river. It was nearly in site of Niagara Falls and it was the most fiercest and bloodiest battle in the Battle of Lundy's Lane

    The Battle of Seven Oaks was a horrific arguement between The Hudson's Bay Company and the North West Company. Specifically, they are rivals in the fur trade bussiness. The Hudson's Bay Company is led by the Metis and the North West Company is led by the Selkirk setters. It had taken place north of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers.
  • The Shiners' War

    The Shiners' War
    The Shiners' War was a disagreement between the Irish Cathiloc immigrants and French Canadians in Bytown. Back in 1835, Ottawa was referred to Bytown. Currently, it is located where the Rideau Canal meets the Ottawa River. The war had occured when Peter Aylen, who is a major Irish timber worker, had told a couple of men to attack the other timber workers.They would attack things such as, rafts, and would fight against the French on the streets. This war lasted about 10 years.

    The Battle of Saint-Charles is part of the Rebllions of 1837. This battle was between Great Britan and Lower Canada. The British determined to defeat the political movement that existed in Lower Canada called the Patriote.
  • Upper Canadian Rebellion

    The Upper Canadian Rebellion was a battle against the Oligarchic government of the British colony of Upper Canada. It was a less violent insurrection but the leaders of both sides were serious. For instance, William Lyon Mackenize demanded for a democratic development and would have liked an end to the rule of a restricted oligarchy.

    The Arookstook War was a conflict between the United States of America and the United Kingdom. It was over the international boundary between the New Brunswick which was the Britan's colony and the Unites States of Maine. The Aroostook War is sometimes referred to as the Pork and Beans War.
  • Stony Monday Riot

    Stony Monday Riot
    In the 1840s, there happened to be many riots throughout the country. The Stony Monday Riot was taken place in Bytown. In total there were about thirty people wounded and one man, in partiuclar David Borthwick dead. At a meeting Lord Elgin, an ambassador to Instanbul (back then referred to as Constantinople) and Robert Hervey, the mayor were talking. All of a sudden there opinion starts to differ and a battle begins.
  • Fraser Canyon War

    It all broke up in an incident between the NIaka'pamux people and miners in the Colony of British Columbia. The Fraser Canyon War is usually known as the Canyon War or the Fraser River War. This war was one of the determining events of the colony. Moreover, even though it didn't end peacefully it was an assessment of the organization's control.
  • Battle of Fort Erie

    Battle of Fort Erie
    Two words to descirbe this war bloody and horrific. This war was part of the Fenian Raids. The Fenian Brotherhood an Irish Republic organization found by the United States in 1858 who had fought against the British army. The Feniab Brotherhood's leader was John O'Neil and the British's army was led by John Stoughton Dennis.The Fenian's had won the battle.
  • The Battle of Trout River

    The Battle of Trout River
    This battle happened to be a military conflict. It occured outside of Huntingdon, Quebec near the international border 20 kilometres north of New York. This was a Canadian victory. Moreover, they captured and arrested John O'Neil, who was the leader of the Fenian Brotherhood.
