    Trudeaumania involved Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and his fanbase in Canada in early 1968. When Pierre Trudeau entered the leadership race of the liberal party of canada, teens had recently become old enough to vote and connected with the chirismatic and energetic feeling that Pierre Trudeau gave off. Women aswell were dazzled by his charm and good looks. This caused a large fan base to be established throughout the country. Trudeaumania abated when he was married in 1971.

    Pierre Trudeau enters the leadership race of the Liberal Party of Canada. This starts the event of what is known as "Treadeaumania", the start of a very succesful election for Pierre Trudeau. This mobilized many young people who symbolized ... and that got them more involved into politics.

    Pierre Trudeau stayed there while protesters were throwing rocks at him during the parade of St. Jean Baptiste, even though the others were fleeing. His guards even tried to pull him away, but he shooed them off and remained seated, facing the rioters without any sense of fear. This decision that he made gave an incredibly big image of him being courageous, which impressed the Canadian people. He then handily won the election the next day.

    This law was Pierre Trudeaus most popular course of action. This act proposed, among other things, to decriminalize homosexuality, allow abortion and contraception, and regulate lotteries, gun possession, drinking and driving offences, harassing phone calls, misleading advertising and cruelty to animals. This act influenced canada's growing identity as it was one of the first countries to come up with these rules, and would also make Canada go on the correct path of growth.

    This law gave the English and French equal status in the government of Canada. This improved the connection between the french Canadians and the english Canadians as it gave them some more power over the government, and greatly decreased the gap between these two groups of people.

    The Quebec Question
    After British diplomat James Cross and Quebec provincial cabinet minister Pierre Laporte were kidnapped, Pierre Trudeau swiftly took action by using the war measures act. This was supported by all regions of Canada, but there were many people that criticized what was done, This decision made by Trudeau widened the gap between the english and french Canadians, as the military was slightly aggresive.

    Trudeaumania abated when Pierre Trudeau got married to Margaret Sinclair. This made him less popular as many of his fans left him (mostly his female fans).
