  • Growing Economic Crisis

    Farmers had a trouble harvesting and it really hurt the economy, people were really angry and started riots aswell because of bread pricing.
  • Popular Uprisings

    Peasants and workers were expecting relief from taxes and poverty, but nothing happened.Whith Louis bringing troops from Versailles people were scared that he was going to dossolve the National Assembly.
  • The Constitution

    France got its first constitution from the National assembly. It stated that the monarchy was limited and set up a system of powers. Legislater made the laws and the King could veto them, but the legislature could override him. And ALL citizens had equal rights.
  • France at War

    France had declared war on Austria and Prussia joined on Austrias side. By August of 1792, Prussia and Austrias army was very good compared to Frances. Duke of Bruinswick warned Paris that id they did not surrenender he would set the city in fire, not frightned at all the people of Paris made it clear that he would not eand their revolution.
  • Attacks on the Revolution

    Spain, Dutch Netherlands, and Great Britain joined Prussia and Austria in war against France. France had no chance and and those nations where taking over. The war was causing startvationand economic hardships.
  • The Bourgeois Monarchy

    More members of the middle class had the right to vote due to the 1814 constitution. King Louis Philippe was the first European monarch to adopt middle-class dress. This all led to socialist demands, socialism, and the Revolution of 1848
  • The July Revolution

    King Louis liked the face that he had to share his power with representatives so he accepted the Constitution. His efforts satisfied people, but Liberals did not like it because it only gave rich people the right to vote.
  • The Revolutions of 1830

    Riots broke out in Brussles. Belgians beat a Dutch army and they Gained the support of France and Britain. Only under the circumstances did the nations got along. After that revolutions that broke out in 1830 failed.
  • The Revolution of 1848

    The kings chief minister, Franciois Guizot called off a really big public banquetin Paris because he was afraid that demonstration and disorder would come. Due to this the king let go of Guizot.
  • The German States

    Germany liberals demanded reform. Rulers of many German states promised contitutions and other reforms. In Prussia events took a different path.
