As a six year old my mother took us away to a women's shelter in the middle of the night. We lived in the shelter long enough to attend school there and were there through the winter holidays. My parents got back together and we left the shelter. (psychosocial)

My stepmother moved in when I was 7. She was very hateful toward me throughout my childhood and teen years.

My parents could not afford to buy me clothing. The only clothing that I was given were hand me downs taht were often stained, ripped or ill fitting. I started shoplifting as a young teenager to avoid getting bullied for the way I was dressed.

Developed an eating disorder when I was 15. It was more about control than how I looked. I never thought I was fat, I just felt very powerful when I could see my skeleton.

Moved out of my parent's house in with my Grandma. A few months later I moved in with some friends.
