Life Span Timeline

  • The First Two Years; Biosocial

    I was a very happy baby. I loved to play and learn.

    Between the ages of 2-6 I was developing at an average rate. I had many friends and was very involved in various activities. I danced from the time I was 2-11.

    I moved out of my first home. We lived in this apartment for nine years.

    My first cat Ruby died of diabetes, she was 26 lbs!

    My mom and I were kicked out of our house because my father passed away. Our apartment manager told us we had 30 days to move. During this time, my fathers side of the family took majority of my fathers belongings and have not spoken to us since.

    My father passed away. I was a daddy's girl, it was very very tough for me.

    My mother bought her first home. She was very proud of her two bedroom house, it was perfect for her.

    Traveled to Mexico and boarded my first cruise. It was a very enjoyable time.

    The day my fiance and I got together. We have been enjoying each other's company ever since!

    I turned 18! Most people think of themselves as a grown adult at this time, yes, I was one of those.

    This is the day I moved out of my mothers house. I changed my phone number, did not give it to her and did not look back. She was an alooholic.

    I gave my mother my phone number. I was not ready for it but I knew graduation was coming up. We talked twice since January first.

    I graduated Beauty School. I graduated here before I graduated high school. This was the first career I wanted to pursue, I changed my mind.

    I graduated high school! Also, this was the first day I seen my mother since January first. It was very surreal, she was just about two months sober. Her entire demeanor changed.

    My first day of college. I was very proud and exicted all at the same time!

    My fiance's brother and his wife had their second baby. I was overly joyful when she asked me to be his godmother. He was a beautiful baby boy, 7lbs 8oz aa five in the morning!

    My mothers two year sobriety birthday! It was a special day for both of us.

    My mother was diagnosed with Stage 2 Liver Cancer. It was incurable so she became terminal that day. It was a very tough day for the both of us.

    My mother slipped into her first coma. They were positive that she was going to come out of it.

    I turned 21! It was an exciting few days, I had one of the best birthday gifts ever. My mother slipped into a coma on the 25th and woke up on my birthday!

    My mother slipped into her second coma. This time i found her unresponsive in her bed, I was going to her house to clean up because she could not do daily needs of this nature by herself anymore.

    My mother woke up out of her second coma! It was a very exciting day, although she was still on a ventilator. I knew she was out of the coma because she squinted her eyes at me, she always did that when she smiled.

    This is the day my mother apologized for drinking for 30 years. She was two and a half years sober thus far. It was a very difficult conversation to have, but it needed to be said.

    Today is the day I had to place my mother on Hospice. It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my life. I placed her under a Do Not Resistate (DNR), this is required for Hospice patients because it is comfort care.

    My mother passed away on this rainy morning. There was a terrible storm that night, my fiance said she was crying in heaven. It was the hardest thing to say goodbye to my last parent. It was espeically hard because she was so sorry about drinking and she felt very guilty. I told her it was okay, everyone makes mistakes.

    I will have my Associates in Liberal Arts from Schoolcraft! I will be transfering to Eastern Michigan University to pursue my Psychology degree. To further my degree, I will be pursuing a Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree. I want to become a grief and substance abuse counselor. I would love to follow down my parents footsteps in a positive way.

    I intend to graudate in 2016 or earlier with my Psychology degree. I will be able to practice in a firm while going to school for my Clinical Mental Health Counseling Degree.

    My estimated graduation date for my Psychology degree is in 2016. I am not sure if it will be in the Fall or Winter semester, although I do know that they only hold one ceremony.

    This is the day I will be getting married! I am very excited, we have been engaged for a little over a year now, only a few more to go.

    In the year 2017 or 2018, we are hoping to have our first child. Our goal is to pursue our careers first and have a nuclear family. It has always been our dream, espeically when our careers will not require long hours, unless we want too.

    Sometime in 2085, I am predicted to die. I am afraid to die because I have already lost both of my parents.
